Strategic Planning
Concordia College has a long-standing commitment to quality academics, the intellectual and physical well being of each student, and the exploration of each individual's call to serve in the world. Aware that
Concordia's mission has never been more relevant nor more in need of interpreting to today's career-focused students and parents,
President Pamela M. Jolicoeur developed a five-year strategic plan to lead Concordia to a new level of distinction.
Within the plan, Concordia is defined as a place where:
- Students of all backgrounds and faiths are welcomed.
- The pursuit of truth through academic rigor is unwavering.
- The life of faith and the pursuit of learning occur in dynamic interaction.
- Leadership and the commitment to "world fluency" and service are cultivated.
- Concern for community and the common good permeates the campus.
The central focus of Concordia's Strategic Plan 2005-2010 is Concordia students. At its heart is the Concordia experience - how Concordia lives its mission and what it means to provide that experience for a new generation of students. The plan defines the context in which Concordia operates and identifies the college's challenges and opportunities as it advances into the 21st century.
In that light, five initiatives were crafted to ensure Concordia national recognition as an exemplar among church-related liberal arts colleges for faithfulness to its mission, the quality of the educational experience and the impact it has on students' lives.
