Whether you want to study abroad for a month, week or year, Concordia has the perfect program for you. The hardest part is narrowing your choice — Egypt or Argentina, India or Australia, a month or a whole year. Take a look at one of the many international and national programs we offer and get ready for the experience of a lifetime.
May Seminars and Exploration Seminars are our most popular travel abroad programs. They both offer tremendous opportunities to travel with Concordia faculty to engage in the world outside the classroom.
Monthlong Immersion
The May Seminar is Concordia’s longest-running study abroad program. Students take a pre-seminar class during spring semester before jet-setting in May. Each May Seminar exposes students to an experience they couldn’t find any other place.
Imagine yourself on this recent May Seminar:
Thirty-nine students traveled with Dr. Ron Nellermoe on a biology May Seminar to the Galapagos Islands off the coast of South America. Students had a once in a lifetime chance to snorkel while seeing tropical plants and animals in their natural habitat. They also traveled to Ecuador and Peru to visit the ancient Incan ruins of Machu Picchu and study different ecosystems.

One of the newest opportunities to study internationally is with our Summer School Abroad programs. The schools offer one-month residential programs where students like you study in universities abroad. If you’d like to spend your summer immersed in Italian music, art and food studying in Urbania, Italy may be a perfect way for you to enhance you Italian diction and grammar. Or perhaps you’d like to study in Germany, where among other things, you’ll attend Lutherfest, a three-day festival honoring Martin Luther in Wittenberg. Or embrace the traditional heritage of Concordia while studying in Norwegian or English in Oslo, Norway.

Need Even More Time in a New Culture?
If a longer, more in-depth study of a new language and culture suits you, try a semester or yearlong program, like studying the effect of globalization across various sectors of Indian society. Other options include studying in Australia, Japan, Crete and many more.
