FACULTY MEMBER ART EXHIBIT AT CONCORDIA

An Art Exhibition by Ross Hilgers, Concordia associate professor of art, will be held in the Cyrus M. Running Gallery on campus from Sunday, Aug. 24-Friday, Sept. 26. The exhibit “Terrane” is held in conjunction with the 2008 Faith, Reason and World Affairs Symposium “Changing with the Climate” How Fast, How Far?” A public reception and discussion by Hilgers will take place at 4:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 16 in the gallery.
Hilgers’ recent work in “Terrane” focuses on the natural beauty of clay with its inspiration drawn from clay’s origins. He is particularly interested in moving toward a sustainable process of creating art and will speak about this at the reception.
The gallery hours are 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday and 1-4 p.m. Sunday. The exhibit and reception are free and open to the public. For more information call the Art Department at (218) 299-4623.
