CHARIS SPONSORS WORKSHOP ON ENLIVENING
MUSIC AND WORSHIP IN SMALL CONGREGATIONS

    The CHARIS Ecumenical Center at Concordia College is sponsoring a workshop for musicians, “More with Less: Enlivening Music and Worship in Small Congregations,” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 27 at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Moorhead, Minn.
        Part of the national Leadership Program for Musicians (LPM), this workshop will present sessions on teaching new music, simple practice and learning techniques for musicians, and the opportunities and challenges of "contemporary worship." Workshops will be led by Scott Weidler, associate director for Worship and Music for the ELCA; Peggy Johnson, district convener for the Region VI American Guild of Organists and Jay Beech, liturgical composer and member of the music staff at Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
