POLITICAL SATIRE GROUP TO PERFORM AT CONCORDIA

The Capitol Steps, a group of Senate staffers who set out to satirize the very people and places that employed them, will bring their political satire to Concordia College. The performance, sponsored by the Cultural Events Series and the Campus Entertainment Commission, will be at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 25 in Memorial Auditorium on the Moorhead, Minn., campus. For more information or tickets, contact the Office of Cultural Events.
Heading into the peak of the presidential election campaigns, the Capitol Steps (famed for putting the “mock” in “democracy”) will provide a much-needed break from the seriousness of the political season. The group demonstrates how audiences are increasingly connecting with the news of the day through satire.
Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
