GUEST PIANO FACULTY RECITAL AT CONCORDIA
The Music Department at Concordia College will present a guest faculty piano recital at 8 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 30 in Christiansen Recital Hall. Brazilian pianist Alexandre Dossin will perform works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Liszt and Chopin. The concert is free and open to the public.
Dossin, currently on the faculty of the University of Oregon School of Music, is a graduate from the University of Texas-Austin and the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Russia. He studied with Sergei Dorensky at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory and Willliam Race and Gregory Allen at UT-Austin. Dossin has performed numerous live recitals for public radio and performed in more than 20 countries. He has also released several CDs.
Concordia College is a four-year liberal arts college of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America offering 78 majors, including 18 honors majors, and 12 preprofessional programs.
