CONCORDIA INVITES PUBLIC TO FIREWORKS AND PARADE
Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., will hold Homecoming 2008 “Memories Together, Cobbers Forever,” Tuesday Oct. 7 through Sunday Oct. 12 on Concordia’s campus. Homecoming is an annual event that welcomes alumni back to Concordia to join in the festivities with current students, faculty, staff and friends, celebrating the Cobber tradition.
The Bonfire and Fireworks display will take place at 8:45 p.m. on Thursday, Oct 9 by Jake Christiansen Stadium. The pep rally will feature music from Concordia’s Cobber Band, speeches from sports team captains, and the COBBER cheer led by Cobber Nation. The night’s events conclude with the lighting of the bonfire and a dramatic fireworks show.
The Homecoming parade begins at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, and runs south on Eighth Street past the Bogstad apartments to Jake Christiansen Stadium. The parade is a chance for student organizations, alumni, area businesses, local bands and more to show their Cobber pride.
Both events are free and open to the public. For more information, please contact the Alumni Office at (218) 299-3734 or visit.
