PRESCHOOLERS TO VISIT CONCORDIA
Preschoolers from Great Beginnings, Moorhead, Minn., will visit Concordia College Dining Services from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14. Concordia Dining Services prepares and delivers nutritionally balanced lunches daily to the preschoolers, toddlers and infants at Great Beginnings.
During the visit, the preschoolers will learn more about their food, where it comes from, how it is prepared and who prepares it. They will also have the opportunity to make their own chef’s hat and create a snack using unique and colorful foods.
“Having the preschoolers here is a great experience for them and for the employees at Concordia,” says Vanessa Berg, contract manager. “The kids are always amazed at how large refrigerators and freezers can be and are equally amazed at how much food we make daily.”
The preschoolers will also tour Anderson Commons, Concordia’s all-you-care-to-eat facility, and have lunch on site.
