Web Projects

Getting your office, department or organization on the Web is one of the best ways to reach prospective and current students, spread your message and connect yourself to campus. Thanks to our recent Web re-design, and the addition of a Web content management system (CMS), Concordia’s Web site is boldly attracting new students and better serving the needs of those of us right on campus.

Get your Web site started today by contacting Online Services. We’re pulling in new offices and departments into the CMS all the time and plan to have everyone included by the end of 2008.

What does that mean for you? A professionally-written and organized new Web site that is surprisingly easy to maintain and update. Contact our Web writer for assistance with your writing and use our Web Writing Guide for additional tips. Attend our Web Wednesday CMS training sessions to learn the ins and outs of the CMS and say goodbye to the old days of using Contribute!

About the CMS
Our CMS, Cascade, is a Web-based application that enables all users – even those not familiar with programming languages – to create, modify and update Web content. Because it is Web-based, you can access Cascade from any computer in the world just by logging-in with your college username and password. It’s as simple as filling out forms, checking boxes to add a few features and learning how to best organize your pages. The CMS takes care of all of the design for you!

See our Cascade Trouble-Shooting Guide for answers to some common questions.

Other Services
Beyond Web sites, Online Services and our writing team can help you with a variety of electronic communications. From invites to eCampaigns, e-newsletters and forms, we’ll turn your great ideas into compelling electronic messages. Our office also produces the monthly e-newsletter eNews.

Just be sure to contact us as soon as you start talking about your project, so we can visit with you about ideas and have enough time to create the communication for you.

All Web and e-communications work is billed through the college charge-back system.
