Worship at Concordia

Worship at Concordia is marked by lively preaching, music and liturgy. Part of the mission of our worship is to encourage an inclusive, open place for the entire campus community to pray and reflect.

We offer several worship services for students, faculty and staff:

  • Chapel services are held Monday-Thursday from 9:50 a.m. to 10:20 a.m., in the Centrum, Knutson Campus Center. These short services are often hosted by student organizations or offices on campus and feature a variety of homily speakers. Worship music also varies widely, including choirs, contemporary bands or soloists.  This is a great time to take a break from classes and daily stressors, finding time instead to pray and reflect.
  • Communion services are held Wednesdays from 10 p.m. to 11 p.m. also in the Centrum. The focal point of these services is the Lord's Supper. They also include time for celebration, meditation, music and fellowship.
  • Sunday Night at East are contemporary worship services on Sunday's at 9 p.m. at Grant Center. These energizing and worship-filled services are led by students and provide a great jump-start to another busy week.
  • Sunday morning worship services are held on Family Weekend and Homecoming Weekend, along with Baccalaureate for Commencement.

See the college's master calendar for who's hosting and speaking at upcoming worship services.

We encourage our college community to join and attend services at one of the many local churches. Your faith life will further grow through these additional opportunities for worship, teaching Sunday school, youth ministry work, service participation and community building.
